The answer to question: "Is there hunger in Ukraine?" is not simple. For the time being we are not reduced to object power, but more and more people are begging in passages, sleeping in door-wags, picking up bottles and cardboard, digging in dumps and scrap-heaps.

Many sections of the population of Ukraine are in fact at the side of life; they don't live but exist and fight for their survival. The problem of invalids and disabled, pensioners and homeless children is a problem of our whole society. And it needs to be solved. Our government can't help these people because of chronic lack of money for social programs. Even if some funds are available, those who are really in need may not get them, because money may settle in pockets of corrupt clerks who regulate its distribution.
