unbelievable but true! :: delivered from drugs!

I must have died under train, but…

Konstantin Gorbatyuk

Age 25

When I was 16 I began to drink. Firstly, I wanted to get rid of inferiority complex, then alcohol was a method to satisfy myself, and later it became a means to withdraw from reality.

When I was 19 I tried the drug (opium substitute or something like this) while serving in the army. Having returned home, I went on the racket. I lost confidence of my relatives and feeling of guilt before those whom I had done evil. Thoughts came to my mind to commit suicide. I saw an escape and relief only in this.

So, I decided to die under the train wheels. On my way to the railroad an unknown woman came up to me and suddenly said two words: "Pray to God!"

I was unbeliever, but to my great surprise her words sounded very convincing. As a last chance I appealed: "God, if You exists, bless me!"

I sincerely repented my sins. At that moment as if a heavy load fell from my shoulders.

In Stephania cafe I learned about the rehabilitation center where God delivered me from drugs and alcohol. And miracle happened! It's too many for a man, but God can do everything!

Now I serve God in the rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol addicts of the Stephania cafe and help those who cannot "get off the needle."

Raised from the dead!

Natalia Tsuprenko

Age 27

I was brought up in a normal, intellectual family: my mother is a physician and father is a specialist in a management information system (computers).

When a child, I saw how my mother treated dopers, but I couldn't avoid "the needle". I became a drug addict.

I was treated in many clinics by all possible means, but nothing could help me. Neither my parents, nor I had any hope for my recovery. I was given up by the doctors.

When I was 24 I decided to end my life. I took the tape recorder cord and hung myself. When my body was carried to mortuary the mother kneeled in prayer asking God to do miracle. And unbelievable became obvious.

Our Lord raised me from the dead! I came to life, but something changed in me. I began to look for God.

After a while, I learned about the rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol addicts of the Christian Church. There I knew about God. I underwent rehabilitation and dedicated my life to God. I began to serve people, who are drug addicts, as I was before.

I hold ministries in the rehabilitation center for alcohol and drug addicts of the Stephania cafe.

I bless Our Lord for His kindness, for new life found in Jesus Christ.
