Salvation
Army is an international movement of committed Christians. The Army
can be described as "the church with its sleeves rolled up".
This is because, as a church, it is very active in helping people
overcome their problems. The Army not only preaches about the love
that God has for each of us, it tries to demonstrate this love through
its actions. The Army's background accounts more than a hundred
years and in more than a hundred countries around the world.
Founders of the Salvation Army were William and Catherine Booth.
Their goal was not to establish another denomination but rather,
to build a fighting force of active Christians, people ready and
willing to serve God and humanity.
Aim of the Army is to make the gospel of Jesus Christ known to
as many people as possible. This good news includes the possibility
of forgiveness, acceptance by God, and eternal life for anyone who
will genuinely turn to Jesus. Army serves communities and individuals
in need without discrimination.
Unlike many charities, Army brings not only material, emotional
and professional help but proclaims the unlimited help and boundless
love that only God can give.
The philanthropic aid of the Salvation Army Kiev department includes
free donation of dressing to the Stephania cafe.
